This course will introduce students to Ojibwe language and the rich woodland traditions of the vibrant native people of today.

The course will include introductory language usage in speaking, listening, reading and writing. Cultural topics and activities will help students understand the woodland circle of seasons as well. Course content will expand the students' world view and diverse perspectives. No previous native language experience or native affiliation is needed.cool

This course will advance students in their usage of northern MN Ojibwe language based on the ACTFL world language standards.  We will pursue activities involving the rich woodland traditions of the vibrant native people of today.

This second year world language course includes review and more complex language usage in speaking, listening, reading and writing. Cultural topics with language activities will help students understand deeply rooted routines during the woodland circle of seasons. Course content will expand the students' world view and diverse perspectives of contemporary Native communities as well.  cool
